hurts, dont it? by mister jerry cantrell--my riff gawd
no lyrics were needed to convey the strain and pain behind the song. those magic lil fingers of cantrell's force you to sit down and take a ride on the introspection express i tell you. not only that, but you also take a look inside of him. what he was going through during the time of the album being written; he may not moan, groan, whine or cry outloud, but he lets his guitar be his second voice for him. hell i see why he titled it the way he did; a question directly to the listener: hurts, don't it? yes baby, damn skippy it do, we feel it.

Jerry is an absolute living legend. He was the perfect vocal pairing for Layne (RIP). Saw him live with Alice in Chains two years ago in Camden and they totally rocked it.
hell yeah! that's awesome, i'd love to see 'em live sometime when either jerry solos again or with the band. i don't think i'm ever getting over me missing him in my city this year LOL
