Day 20 of blogging until I move out of my parents house

Hello world!

Dali here again instead of Tsu! Things have been really busy lately, so sorry she hasn’t been writing as much. She’s okay, though! I kind of wanted to talk about another world problem we have, and that is… parents giving young children phones.

I honestly think it’s ridiculous and a sign of bad parenting: “I can’t get my kid to listen, so I’ll give them a phone to shut them up.” I was scrolling on YouTube the other day and saw a video of a very obviously young girl dancing to NSFW songs. And you know.. there creeps on the internet that can see this. Children should not be given phones until they’re old enough to avoid doing stupid stuff, or unless they need one for being away often (school, clubs, etc.).

Me and Tsu have decided that our future kid won’t be given a phone until they’re 13 and a half or 14. Before then, we’re going to give them a locked phone that can only text and call, so they can keep in touch with friends or call us in case of emergency.

I agree with u. I actually didn’t get my first and STILL CURRENT phone until sophomore yr(I was gonna get in freshman yr but COVID and stayed home so I didn’t rly need it)

I do remember using one of our old phones around 14 and this was whole in middle school (oh boy..)and searched site those middle school boys were so loud about got exposed to content but after that I was more careful and now an adult I choose what I want on my phone and such

I believe the best phone to get a kid is a flip phone so they can call/text u incase something happens and I remember one of my high school teachers saying he’s giving his kids flip phones and his kids once adults they can buy themselves a smartphone. Kinda smart I think but yeah I’m actually glad I got mine in high school,or I would have been influenced my others around me(wow I yapped too much sryy)
