ย ย ย ย ย ย Oral care is super important for your overall smell and hygiene! Floss and brush your teeth beforeย ย you shower to avoid acne around your lips and chin. You wouldn't want toothpaste clogging your pores!!ย
ย ย ย ย ย ย If you have mobility issues or just prefer something easier , I recommend a water flosserย or floss picks!ย Water flossers cost around 30-90 dollars so it's a bit steep. But they can be very helpful!! But for environmental reasons, I don't necessarily recommend the floss picks since they very "wasteful".ย As well, bleeding around the gums isn't necessarily a worrisome thing- unless it's constant and hurts. If so do contact your doctor and dentist because you could have a gum infection!ย เดฆเตเดฆเดฟ(หต โขฬ แด - หต ) โงย

ย ย ย ย When you step into the shower, one of the first things you should do is completely drench yourself in water - specifically your hair. But before you get in, brush out your hair! If you don't have a curl pattern, your hair will be more brittle while wet. So make sure you brush it out And for your shampoo, it really depends on your hair type and hair porosity.ย
ย ย ย ย For me personally, I have straight, 1a/1b hair. So your preferred shampoo may be different than mine! But you honestly don't need to drop 60 dollars on a single bottle of shampoo. At that point you're just paying for the brand.
ย ย ย ย I've been using the Head & Shoulders shampoo from the drugstore since it's not very expensive and I've been having issues with my scalp. But if you have a sensitive scalp, I recommend the Aveeno skin relief soothing shampoo! (But if that doesn't work for you, do your research for shampoos without sulfates, fragrances, dyes and parabens. You can opt for gentle, mild formulas containing soothing ingredients such as oatmeal, aloe vera, or vitamin E for dry or sensitive scalps, and exfoliating acids like salicylic acid for oily scalps. Other brands like Vanicream, CeraVe, and Philip Kingsley are also good!
ย ย ย ย First get around a little more than a quarter of shampoo into your hand and lather, using your fingers to gently massage the shampoo into your scalp. Do not shampoo your mids or ends unless you want very dead and dry hair. Then rinse! You repeat this twice, but the second time using a scalp massager (which you can find at Walmart or Target). Rinse well after.
ย ย ย Next off, conditioner! Lightly squeeze out most of the water out of your hair so the conditioner can stick to your actual hair instead of sitting on top of the water. Apply about the same amount as the shampoo and comb the conditioner through the ends of your hair. Again- not in your scalp unless you want an oily, clogged scalp. And put your hair up with either a hair tie or a claw clip for around 5 - 10 minutes. Then rinse!
ย ย ย (Optional) And this is optional but you can do the same as you did with the conditioner but with a hair mask. Hair masks are used usually once per week and help with hydrating and softening your hair. Put it in and do your other shower things as it sits in your hair. Then rinse around 10 minutes later. One of my favourite hair masks is the Tsubaki Premium repair. It smells so so good and makes my hair soooo soft!ย
ย ย ย You wash your hair first to avoid things such as chest/back acne! Also so your conditioner/hair mask can sit while you do your other shower things.ย ๊(หตห แ หหต)

ย ย ย ย It's important to properly cleanse and wash your chest and intimate area thoroughly and gently. No scrubbing or strong fragrances as those can hurt/irritate those areas. Using warm water and your fingers to gently cleanse yourself. You may use a gentle soap such as a Dove bar to wash the outside. Not the inside, or else that will change the PH of your intimate area and can lead to infections. When you finish showering, gently pat yourself dry. And put on a clean pair of underwear. Your underwear should be changed everyday!!ย (หถแต แต แตหถ)

๐ข๐พ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ 4 -ย ๐๐๐ฝ๐ย โหเฟ
ย ย ย ย For your body you can use two different soaps! A bar soap (for example Dove/Olay) for areas that need more concentration such as your ears, underarms, belly button and feet. And a body wash for your entire body generally. One particular body wash I love personally is the Olay Strawberry and Mint body wash. I generally choose vanilla/strawberry scents. And if you're looking to smell like something specifically, choose shower items with the same/similar scents! They build up and make the smell last longer.
ย ย ย ย And washcloths are very good! They really help clean you better and leave your skin soft and supple. Though, I don't recommend loofahs as they can harbor bacteria easily and generally don't last as long.
ย ย ย And remember! The water does NOT drip down. Make sure to clean every part of yourself carefully. Especially behind your ears and your belly button. And as for drying/cleaning those areas after your shower. Do not use q-tips on the insides! That will push down the ear wax and can lead to an infection or a blockage. Though, you can gently swab the shell of your ears and your belly button.
ย ย ย Clean under your nails too. Oftentimes dirt and other things can get trapped under there. Keep your nails and toenails neatly trimmed. And if you want to grow out your nails, make sure to be extra careful with them.ย ูฉ(หแห*)ูย

ย ย ย If you want to really get that soft and supple feeling body scrubs and shaving is the way to go! Though, you only really need to do this 1/2 times a week. For body scrubs I recommend the TreeHut sugar scrubs, the Quo salt scrubs or the Dove body scrubs. Scent wise TreeHut is my favourite. I always get a vanilla scented body scrub.ย
ย ย ย Set your water to a warm setting. This will help loosen up your dead skin cells. Put a little in your hand and scrub your legs, arms, stomach, back and feet with your washcloth. One tub should last you more than two months in my experience. And then you rinse after! You should always exfoliate before you shave so your razor has a smooth surface to work off of.ย
ย ย ย For razors actually men's facial razors are better for a smooth shave as they get the closest to your skin. And plus, there's no "pink tax" on them! I recommend you trim any longer hairs before you shave. Such as your underarms or your pubic hair. Lather your body up with either your conditioner or a shave cream. I particularly love the EOS shave cream!ย
ย ย ย Do not press down on your skin!! That will make your skin even more uneven and harder to shave. Plus you have a higher chance of nicking yourself. (If you do so aloe vera should help sooth it. Especially in your bikini area.) And if you want, you can also shave the hair on your hands. Which I usually do.
ย ย ย But you shouldn't shave certain areas if you don't want to! It should be up to you since it's your body. And otherwise, you don't owe anyone an explanation why either. I prefer shaving because I'm very hyper aware of my body and my body hair makes me uncomfortable. So I shave for that soft and fresh feeling. But also for my sensory issues.ย โฝ(โขโฉ โขใโผ

ย ย ย Alright we are almost done! Now we're moving onto our face! Now- when I shower in the morning. I don't actually wash my face with soap. I just use warm water. And that's because my skin is on the drier side. So actually not washing my face in the morning helped with my acne. But moving on.
ย ย ย You don't really need a "fancy" face wash. Any drug store will do! But if you want to, here are my none drug store recommendations: Perfect Whip face wash, Kao Biore face wash and the 1025 Dokdo facial cleanser!ย
ย ย ย After, gently pat dry your face with a microfiber towel that is specifically for your face and is washed every other week and stored in a dry place. Though, in product terms. Less is more when it comes to your face. But when I'm taking off makeup/sunscreen. I love the Softy Melt oil cleanser! It takes off all my makeup quite easily!ย (..โแดโ..)

ย ย ย Before you step out of the shower, gently squeeze most of the water out of your hair and pat it dry with an old T-shirt or a microfiber cloth. Then pat the rest of yourself dry. Don't rub your hair with a towel, that's too harsh!ย
ย ย ย Put on lotion (I like the EOS lotions and the Vaseline ones) and baby oil to lock in that moisture! Then you may do your skincare (Toner/serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen if it's the day, then lip balm/ Vaseline.)
ย ย ย For scent, you can put Vaseline on your pulse points and spray perfume on those areas! Then pat it in. Don't rub as that'll defeat the point and rub away the perfume faster. You also can layer a body spray since they don't last as long. But you shouldn't overdo it in consideration of others. (and yourself.)
ย ย For your hair you can put in a serum! I like the L'oreal glycolic gloss serum! And you can choose to dry your hair with a blow dryer or let it air dry. I prefer hair dryers! If that's the case for you as well, you may! But remember to keep it at a medium setting and use a heat protectant.ย
ย ย Put on a clean pair of panties and wash your bra every other week! As much as it is annoying, your bra can start to smell after a while. And changing your underwear every day is a none negotiable.ย เดฆเตเดฆเดฟ(แตแแต)

ย ย So! What did y'all think? I know some people struggle with hygiene so I wanted to write and share this blog! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this. I thoroughly enjoyed writing. If you yourself have any recs you can write them down in the comments. And I also wanted to mention that you don't have to do all these things every single day! Well- the shaving and exfoliating ones at least. And as well, your showering schedule depends on you. So take some of my advice with a small grain of salt. Especially the hair related ones. Since I wouldn't know how to care for curly hair! But yeah!! Thank you for reading!!ย
