A CONTINUATION OF THE CHEDIN THING BUT MARLY RAHHHHH!!!!!
It had been...months, two weeks shy of a year, since Marly had properly spoken to Chedin at all. He had seen how he had changed, how he started hanging out with new Cstloes, wearing new clothes
Was Marly...jealous of Chedin for moving on? Yes, obviously, so badly that even his two mothers (Pila and Jolla) could tell something was up with Marly
It was December seventeenth when Marly decided to go down to the old bowling alley. It was a place Chedin, Creamnor, and him had gone a lot back when they were a trio.
When he pushed through the doors, he was hit by sharp coolness and the scent of rubber and...nacho cheese...on the air. And there was Chedin, trying and failing to knock down any pins with the bowling balls
Marly slowly walked over to Chedin, watching how he moved now. Chedin used to move in little stutters, like his joints were stiff when he moved. Now every motion was smooth, feeding into each other
The thing that got Marly's attention was the clothes. Chedin was wearing a large...jacket, which looked it was made to be worn in the coldest areas of the planet, not for bowling. It was black with cheese orange stripes going down the sleeves, and the same thing with his pants
🫐: Chedin...why are you wearing such a big jacket-
Chedin jumped slightly, cussed under his breathe, and dropped the bowling ball he had on his paws on his foot. Marly startled, expecting Chedin to crack, but the bowling ball just bounced off the glass of his body

Chedin picked the ball back up and tosses it down the lane, completely missing the last five pins for the fourth time in a row. He glanced over at Marly slightly, his smile having dipped a little
Marly just walked a bit closer, catching the ball that Chedin tossed towards him. He crouched down, tossing the ball down his lane and perfectly knocking down all the pins. When he glanced up at Chedin, he saw that he was smiling down at him, looking slightly...like the Chedin Marly knew...
🧀: I always wondered how you're so good at this
🫐: I-I just...get "lucky"..?
Chedin shrugged, taking the answer without much questioning. He bent down like Marly, trying to roll the ball the same way. This time, Chedin was able to knock down two pins
🧀: I'm sorry, Marly.
Marly knew what Chedin meant instantly. They didn't look at each other, just kept tossing the bowling balls down the lanes. Marly didn't want Chedin to be sorry for moving on, didn't want him to be sorry for having changed
🫐:...
The words Marly wanted to say where in his head and seemed to refuse to go to his mouth. He wanted nothing more than to tell Chedin how he felt, but...after everything, would Chedin feel the same?
Screw it. If he could just say the words, then he could forget about it if it went bad. He sat down, holding a ball in his lap and rubbing the side of it softly while Chedin kept missing his pins
🫐: I loved you, Chedin...
The bowling alley went silent, even quieter than it already was. Chedin slowly sat down and rested his head in his hands, sighing softly. A few minutes passed when Marly leaned against him slightly
🫐:I'm sor-
🧀: Loved? Do you not love me anymore, gay boy?
Marly could almost hear the laugh in Chedin's voice, using humor to pull himself out of his shock. Marly just stared at him for a moment before kissing his cheek
Chedin's glass face felt warm, vibrating slightly from the hum of the lights. Marly's tail twitched slightly, and he sighed as he hugged Chedin. Chedin hugged back, patting his head slowly, not really sure what to do
🫐: Your jokes st-
🧀: Still suck? I know, that's why I say them
