good morning/afternoon/evening/whatever crackass time it is

today was probably the least productive day so far when considering practicality and the amount of time i have before my final exams. HOWEVER, many things were done :>

upon waking at approximately 9:04am i proceeded to sit next to sammi (my cat) on my rug for like two hours while half reading and half snoozing my way through time

following this epic idle sesh i ate a mushy az lunch of squished eggplant and rice yada yada some unimportant stuff happened, i did a workout and breathed a breath of fresh air. AND THEN 

finally got to filling out my scholarship application for uni :D yipppeeeeeee (it's due tmr i really had no choice)

basically u fill out all ur personal deets and whatevs but then the kinda fun part was writing about ur achievements and motivations heeh

achievements was pre ez i js wrote about my EPIC chem comeback --> i was highkey a failure in year 11 and literally got like 70% on my prelim which was genuinely like devastating to me at the time cause i couldn't drop the subject... bUT THENNNNN this year i started tutoring (which i can attribute a lot of my improvement to) but also just started feeling passionate about the subject in general which was weird asf cause if you were to tell newly-failed-my-prelim me that i'd enjoy writing eight markers about le chatelier's principle and equilibrium systems i would cackle so hard. yeeeah so not to toot my own horn or nun but i went from near dead last to ranked fifth in my cohort >:))) which im pretty proud of 

and then for extra curricularrrssss i basically wrote about volleyball. i love that sport man, as soon as i finish this freakin hsc im getting back to it i miss my teammates so much i miss the early morning games and i miss the adrenaline rush on court (oooh he thinks he's in haikyuuuu). nah but fr vball let me discover some self confidence and also feel less defensive about critical feedback (i wasnt a div 1 athlete or nun i had quite a few SHORTcomings :/)

finally, the last few sections were just about what you wanted to do in the future with your degree, which i had to kinda think about cause all i know is that i really wanted to work with animals and probably wouldnt find fulfilment or enjoyment in any other career (which is actual asscheeks cause wdym i need a 98 atar to do that...) in the end i wrote about wildlife rehabilitation and devil facial tumour disease cause i did a research proj on that for bio and thought it was crazy that even after like almost three decades of knowing this disease exists, we still can't find a way to increase tassie devil populations or even AT LEAST stop them from declining so crazily. 

so yeah...that was pretty much the productive part of my day done.

THE CLOCK HAS HIT 4PM meaning my motivation levels are at an all time low... so im browsing youtube AND WHAT DO I SEE??? the pilot of the amazing digital circus!!! and after hearing flashbacks of my boyf singing daisy bell on REPEAT a few weeks ago i was like!! i! have! to! watch! this!! and oh ma gawd bro...ts was actual peak.

ever since arcane, i've been in a real rut show wise (cause how the FREAK do you follow up from that...) but this show was so different graphic and vibe wise that it was really refreshing to see. 

tbh tho (looking back) first ep wasn't that much of a standout - like i really LOVEDDD the character design + animation style and the humour was peaaak but plot wise idk if i was just fresh into watching it but i wasnt like FULLY enraptured just yet. also ragatha's character made me uncomfortable for some reason. only thought was lowk loving jax his va sounds like donatello from the 2015 tmnt if he was a diva (i genuinely went into a spiral looking for their vas i was SO convinced they were the same)(BUT also his character reminded me of raph maybe i just love the ninja turtles)

SECOND EP THO immediately the beginning was banger, the nightmare sequence at the beginning was so cool i loved the silhouettes looking down at pomni. I LOVE THEIR FREAKIN FACIAL EXPRESSIONS MANNNN like caine as a glistening set of dentures should not work but it is so addicting to watch it move and jax...bro he's my favourite his eyes and teeth and ears all working in tandem as an expression makes me joyous. also the 'no thanks im trying to quit' bubble line was so funny for no reason. bubble also lowk reminds me of the bullet in mario kart. also gangles design is so similar but also different to rnd's from dandys world i love it sm. ALSO THE FREAKIN AUSTRALIAN GUMMY CROCODILES HELLLOOOO...the whole 'realising ur existence means nothing' 'what do u even do with this discovery' scene was also like damn AND THEN HIM GETTING CONFETTIED AT THE END i just did not expect that at all bro. rewatching the vehicle ramming scene i love the swear word cover up box its so funny

EP THREEEE. oh boy... im not rewatching it at this hour to refresh my memory. I SWEEEAR TO JESUS my horror tolerance is so low as soon as pomni and kinger entered the freakin building as saw those freaky as heads on the walllll ooooooh lawd i coulda crawled outta my skin right then...i think its the bulging eyes or something i really hate those. without kinger constantly diffusing the tension by non-intentionally being funny i may have lost it. horror aside this was probably one of the best eps like genuinely some of the dialogue was so peak and kingers backstory was maaaan </3 BUT ALSO MANS KNOWS HIS WAY ROUND A GUN PHEEEW. that scene where kinger and pomni are walking the path outta hell to the stairs is one of the best in the series so far like the glow is giving angel guiding someone AND THE SOUNDTRACK/SOUNDEFFECTS FOR THAT EP WERE PEAAAAK and kinger swearing when he realises he forgot to get gangle's mask was hilarious. yeah theres prob more to say abt it but like i said... not rewatching rn...

EP 4 not much to say tbh like aesthetic wise it was reallly nice and jax's attitude that entire ep was peak but also you start to see that he has layers and that got me so excited man i love a dickish character whos also tortured and also has a crazy backstory and good design and UGHHHH. lol as im rewatching bits caine's 'did somebody say adventure :b' 'crickets' at the beginning was so funny the comedic timing in this show is so good...also when pomni asked for a less-horror-adventure i was like YES GIRL THANK YOU also when caine says 'of course, of course' it triggered a p!atd lyric recognition part of my brain (boyf trained lol) but i didnt know what song it was until now (the piano knows smth i dont know) RETURN OF GUMMIGOOOO bro when he said shayla (pretty shure it was sheila cause thats aussie or sum) triggered my rotted brain. gangle was so cute this ep that cinematic bit near the end was SOOO GOOD LIKE THE MUSIC AND THE SMILE ON HER TRAGEDY MASK AND THE LIGHTING oh my god peak peak also i havent mentioned this yet but i shouldve (im thinking of it now with the 'post-shift evaluation' scene thing) but the rendering of caine's gums is so like... strange but also adds to his character??? in a way idk also kinger js riding a bull is so funny go king WAAAIT I ALSO DIDNT MENTION THIS BUT ZOOOBLLEEEE NB QUINGG?? theyre so cool i love the part where they don't feel like any part 'fits' to them that was UGH peak i forgot which ep this is in and im scared to check ep3 (as aforementioned) lol did i say not much to say... i lied

EP FIVEEE also one of my faves overall it was js so fun and the variety really showed off the aesthetic powers of the animation and the stylesss (like the chill nighttime stargazing one i just loved the colours and ughgughug). zooble reading a mag that says 'what your parts say about you' at the beginning is such a peak detail i love. as the gang walks in from their portal soaking wet im reminded how i love the rendering in this show also caine's crashout was so freakin funny hes such a silly guy. i love jax he's such a diva VEGAN TRANSFORMATIONNN PRESIDENT POMNIIII ok the baby lamp was a little unsettling but also the detail on kinger's sheet saying 'dont embarrass the president' awww that was so cute also was jax's 'did i pick a bad time' line supposed to be a dirty joke cause kinger was under the table or is my mind in the gutter THE FREEZEFRAME AFTER GANGLE'S BOMB WENT OFF WAS PEAKKKK I LOVEE AND THE FONT GAHAHHHA also jax ik ur a weeb GAAAASSSP STARGAZING SCENEEE JAX HAS BACKSTORY IM SO READY FOR THISS the 'also shes dumb and she looks weiiiird' had me cackling gaheh oop he doesnt have a tail?? the cloud in the back looks like a bunny with a tail chopped of is that js me hallucinating or UUUUGH THE INTERMISSION THIS SEQUENCE WAS SO PEAK I LOVED IT SO MUCHHH BRO like the animation was so satisfying and the colours and everything was just so goodddd the shots of them in the empty room were js MWAH OMG MORE JAX BACKSTORY HINT ITS A FROG ok im kinda tiring out now but the bar scene was so good like we get good lore and them just chatting with the neon signs while theyre in greyscale...beauttt...also the tattoo artist and bartender??? how queer zooble...(lol not jax pointing it out too) corn fear is hella funny MAID JAXXX GAHEHEHE I LOVE THISSSS hes such a diva bro also ragatha looking at jax and pomni talking...damn...ominous mannequin?

EP SIXXXXX MY FAVVVV like maybe its recency bias or sum BUT THIS ONE WAS THE BEST LIKE THE TEAMING THE JAX AND POMNI BONDING THE LOSER AQUARIUM ROOM EVERYTHING MWAH MWAH MWAHHH also unrelated note but zooble's leg looks like an otamatone FIRST THING THO JAX'S FACE WHEN ZOOBLE SAYS 'i want the ability to have SEX!' holy balls that was peak i NEED TO DRAW THAT IT THE JAW DROPPING HIS EYES omg best screenshot i have ever taken. auuugh theres so much to talk about in this epppp im lowk rlly tired but js the dynamics between all the characters was so gooood kinger summoning that butterfly?? hello?? and gangle laughing maniacally while firing that tommy gun... pride in my heart for her. bEST SCENES: jax pep talk in that corridor with pomni - when she gets that evil chaos in her heart and spinning that gun DANNNG SO COOL jax firing multiple times at ragatha when she 'confronts' him, kinger battle scene (kinger is full of surprises i love him) omg that cinematic shot of pomni shooting gangle and the single bullet hole and her mask crackin OOOOOH LAWD THAT GAVE ME CHILLSS BRO, ofc the daisy bell duet was beautiful OOOOH MA GAWSHHH the pomni jax leadup to the fight and the fight scene bro the dialogue and his changing pupils and the expressions...so peak... (the 'are you coming onto me?' bro be so fr rn ur a humanoid bunny) jax's bathroom scene was also so good like why are the doors so realistic and one of them says 'chill fella'? or sum i wonder if thats like foreshadowing something

finishing the six eps really left me with a void...a NEEED for more content so i inhaled some analytical youtube vids in quick succession (and started saying skibidi again cause apparently some versions of this show in other languages say skibidi?? huh?) and i cannot wait for the next ep pls lord... release it the day after my exams finish...

anyway... what a yap... this was very cathartic for me so thanks spacehey i needed that (excuse any typos or grammar errors im so conked)
