maybe i'm a hater

i don't care for the vivzieslop homestuck revival. i dont care that toby fox is voicing john. i dont care that hussie himself backed this up. it reads like a cashgrab and, genuinely, the last thing we need right now in this current day and age is this shit becoming popular again.

don't get me wrong. i was also 11 seeing the homestuck mmds on youtube, i was also 15 making davekat fanart on tumblr, i was also 17 wondering if i could somehow make a cosplay of my favorite characters without painting my skin completely gray and making a mess. but i feel like homestuck lived its lifetime when it needed to and passed on like a beloved, or not so beloved, childhood dog in its final days bumping into furniture and throwing up on the carpet. 

and i dont care that people try to play this off syaing "it'll be more accessible now!" what wasn't accessible back then? the free website? the millions of "let's read homestuck" videos on youtube? the many, many posts analyzing the characters? just read the webcomic. i get now it's more difficult due to the death of flash, but, honestly, things don't have to be for everyone, things don't always need to have a revival. just lay this damn dog to rest and leave it alone.
