So.... I got into Umamusume!

I mean... it's kinda obvious, considering the huge golshi png I have on my profile... 

But...! (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

I got into Umamusume, and I REALLY want to share the story of how I got into it!

So, like many deltarune fans, I was EVERYWHERE in June. Every playthrough channel, every tumblr blog, I'd be there, consuming all of the new scrumptious fan content there was XD 

And I noticed, around the later half of the month, that Penny (from snapcube) started playing this strange horse-girl game in her second channel, and I thought, hmmmm... Where have I seen that before....?

And then IT hit me. OMG. I had japanese ads for that game back in January??????

I remember skipping those while thinking "wtf was that??" ＼（〇_ｏ）／  Ok!

Anyway...

Later that summer! I gave in to the curiosity and watched Penny's vod. It was... pretty fun?! To my surprise, at least! 

That made me get more and more Umamusume videos on my youtube recs, and so I watched some non-spoilery ones to kinda see what was the deal with this! XD And so I got pretty curious AGAIN, and I started watching Cinderella Gray, which is the new spin-off series focused on Oguri Cap's story (btw, PLEASE go watch it if you haven't already! It's so peak and season 2 is releasing next month!)

Now, I haven't watched any anime since ~2021, so it's been a biiiiiig while... but DUDE! I've never been so invested! Especially over a sports anime! That's, like, unheard of (from me)!

I watched the entirety of the first season (13 episodes) in 2 days! THAT's how good it is  \(☆▽☆)/

In terms of opinions...

My favourite media out of this franchise has GOT to be Cinderella Gray and Beginning of a New Era! I've already talked enough about CG, but watching the movie is, to me, as an animation student, like a donkey gawking at a barroque palace XP

GOSH, it's INCREDIBLE! (/≧▽≦)/

And, not only that, it's amazing at storytelling! No matter how many times I rewatch Beginning of a New Era, I'll ALWAYS cry because of it...

In terms of how deep I am in the community...

More than knee deep, I'm sure of it! So deep to the point I get recomendations of videos of the IRL racehorses! Like Gold Ship's reunion with Mr. Imanami (his groom), Ready Aiko (Oguri Cap's granddaughter) napping with a beanbag, and one of Meisho Doto documenting his daily life with Meto, the cat! It's like a daily seratonin boost! (❁´◡`❁)

And as for my favourite uma as of now...

It's Fenomeno! I LONG for the day she comes to global... her character design is on point and her CV Yukiro Hibi does a stellar job on her role!

Hell, I like her so much I even made a picmix of her!

(It's just that I'm seeing a pattern... maybe I'm just naturally inclined to "the normal one?" I mean, my favourite character in ace attorney was Apollo for a longggg time, so it kinda checks out... XP)
