Latest project is a fail ( and that's okay )

Okay so recently I've been trying my hand at linocuts - basically you have a block of rubber ; you draw and you carve onto it a design, then smother it in ink and use it as a stamp - and most of my projects have gone really well, but this one... I did it during an insomnia and like all my ideas during insomnias I think it's brilliant until the morning ^^ 

alright well clearly it needs a lot of editing, the black ink really highlights the rough areas and there are a lot of details from the sketch that have not been executed, like on the fins. there is one more hour of work to be done but .... I'm going to procrastinate until at least monday.I need to buy a thinner 'gouge' ( the metal thing ) and also take my time; so many mistakes could have been avoided by just paying attention but hey, that's why I am practicing before really doing more intricate artworks. I need to buy more ink why does everything have to cost moneeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyy ??

Accidentally gave myself fingers like lucifer's hands in Constantine ( Tilda Swinton as Gabriel lives rent free in my head ) 

also if this layout feels like a mess it's cause I tried editing one of GOAT's bulletin layouts but like... without any of their talent lmao - no one is the goat but the GOAT
