Currently trying my hand at building a neocities website

i have no reason to specifically make a blog post about this since I don't feel the need to do so for much more impactful parts of my life, but i feel as though i am so lost in the steep learning curve that is HTML website building. I wanted to make a little site for me to display art, essays, and anything i please, but its sooo tedious. If i worked on it more consistently i would definitely produce better results, but of course this is just a side project. I'm trying to avoid using AI because I'm interested in learning a programming language through firsthand mechanical experience rather than AI assisted prompts and copypastas. AI and its ever-so tempting advantages are getting harder and harder to ignore, but if someone elses brain was able to comprehend this, why shouldn't mine?
