blog entry of 9/27/25 ^u^

hello!

this is now the second blog entry (hopefully i can keep this up)
i don't have another life story to tell but i do have STUFF!

first thing-
for context, i technically go to a vocational school- i did it my 9th grade year in what they call "Coding, App and Game Design" but you wanna know what i learnt...
HOW TO BE BURNT OUT ON STUFF, yeah- when your told just to play games for half the year and for 3 hours a day- it's not fun- but i had interviewed for the Graphic Design class that is a 2 year program compared to the coding one which was a 1 year- and i got in since it's considered a "Simulated Workplace" you have to interview for your next shop and if you don't get in, your sent back to your home high school.
anyway enough with the context- so apparently my skills in photoshop have been exemplary and they noticed like i'll show you- (the background isn't really much, i had to follow an ancient tutorial and i used the Vista RTM icons but mostly everything else was just done using Photoshop 2025 on Windows (which fucking sucks, crashed on me like 5 times while making >:[ could be the insider build tho))
my whole network mapped just because one of my friends says "oh, you have 50,000 points of failure" when it was just because my Pi was failing
so yeah-
back to the present
so imagine my surprise when... me (im only a sophomore) and another senior were called back to help with the print lab!!11!
and we basically helped all week except on friday but we did help put the clothes in the boxes. the only reason that me and him were called back iirc is that we had amazing work and could be trusted with a contracted deal- since the deal was the damn WV PUMPKIN FESTIVAL- that's mostly why- but atleast everyone will get to help since we're doing shirts for all the shop classes next week ^^

i would LOOOVE to have photos but damn WV law >:{

next thing
the drive for the G4 got here- and it's pretty cool :>
it's a Other World Computing Mercury Elite with a 1 terrybite of spinny (1TB HDD)
main reason that i got it was 1. it was only $20 on eBay 2. it had FireWire 400 3. i needed it for my G4
and this thing is fast for the G4, i haven't gotten to test boot OS X on it yet since Tiger straight says FACK U and shuts off the mac if isn't running off of either official Apple media or it's not being booted off a DVD (and i don't have RWs and i don't feel like buying some, and Leopard is too BIG to fit on a Single Layered disc) and i could get Leopard to work either, does the same thing :<
so i had to use a fork of Leopard called Sobert Leopard and had to image that to the G4's drive using Tiger but before i wiped the disk, it had neat stuff on it-
for one thing the volume label was "OWC 1TB Safety" which i had NO CLUE what it could have meant because i don't think the seller knew either- but i could tell a few things when i first connected the drive-
1. it had color labels on some folders and you can ONLY do that on macOS
2. the file system was HFS+ (Mac OS Extended (Journeled))
3. it had used up like 870GB or smth
but it took some looking to find out by something? looking back now, i still have no idea.  first thought that it could have been used by some music entity? but hte AMOUNT of audio files on it and words like "Chorus" and "Mastering" in the folders-
but now that's irrelevant since all that data is no longer accessible since i've wiped it several times with different file systems and partition tables
and oh yeah, that coding room has a bunch of unused stuff such as....

this apple keyboard (model A1243) that i stole and am using with my PowerMac since it doesn't like generic keyboards when booting
so an example-
when using either my Corsair K55 or an Logitech K360 it can take until i've ALREADY booted into Tiger just to get into either Open Firmware (takes likes 5 reboots) or the boot picker
then when using the Apple Keyboard it does it first try! and doesn't need the keys spammed!

next thing...
which is it going to be...
ah yes!
ahem... "DIVA"ing myself-
i personally don't like to call it that in the end im going for the emo boy makeup but one of my friend says everytime we do it "are you ready to become a pretty pretty princess?" or "are you ready to become a diva?" and to set the stage the friend that asked those questions and said that my network has 50,000 points of failure, his name is SmoggyDesert online (idk if he wants his real name out on the world) but the amazing best friend that i have that did my pfp :3 and that's been playing around with different styles of makeup for about 2 days as of writing, her name is Avalon (she's put her name in her discord bio, so i think it's good) and she's amazing ^w^ (she maybe the only romantic partner that i've had to this point and totally shattered my ability to have trusting friendships/relationships, but that's for a therapy session/another blog) she totally gets why i wanna try out makeup compared to everyone else that would probably look at me weird- and also her partner in crime and overall goob Bethany! (who's been the supplier of makeup for the past few days!) has been helping with the whole thing
here's 2 photos after i got home to see how it looked in my camera

this was on Thursday when we only had the easier to apply eyeliner that actually worked (we had eyeliner on Wednesday but it didn't work, no matter how warm it was) and me personally for someone else doing it and this is all we had, i really liked it :>
and then friday came after we had asked Bethany to bring eyeshadow-
considering the materials we had- this came out really good too! now granted the eyeshadow is BARELY visible but there are factors-
1. it was only light purple since we had black eyeshadow because Bethany's sister had thrown away the black eyeshadow the morning of and avalon didn't have any either
2. even with the limited set, we could only do light purple since the dark purple (that could have worked) had glitter in it ;-; yeah- i didn't want something with glitter-
but avalon has promised that she'll get black eyeshadow for us to use next week!!
and in the end... i wanna look like early Andy Sixx from before Black Veil Brides blew up
now granted, this is a screenshot from a tiktok because when you try to look it up- all you'd get is modern day BvB and their INSANE makeup that prolly takes hours to do and we usually only have 25 mins each day since lunch is the only time we get-
but i mean- look at how CLEAN that it,
it's not too extra-
t's not too little-
it's ABSOLUTE CINEMA-
imo- :3

oh yeah one last thing-
to preface, i've been a semi-active Cookie Run Kingdom player- a friend of mine had introduced me to the game during the end of the Triple Cone Cup and right before Legend of the Red Dragon began- but i barely had the hardware to play it because if you know it's like to play CRK then YOU KNOW- THIS SHITTY GAME TAKES A DAMN REAL COMPUTER-
hell! that's why i use my Steam Deck running with Waydroid on SteamOS to sometimes play it if im going to play it for more than 5 mins-
but anyway i picked it back up during The Holiday Express after i had gotten an iPhone 12 for Christmas- and i've been playing here and now i'll usually keep it around, i'll get bored often- like i BARLEY played during Farers of the Faraway Sea for example- but holY SHIT- FINAL PIECE OF THE BEAST YEAST PUZZLE-

DAMN IT LOOKS SO GOOD-
sadly as of writing i hadn't got Silent Salt yet but i do have White Lily nearly at 5 star promotion as a a fucking F2P, yeah! i haven't spend a single cent on this and yet, my best is Elite 2 on the Pure Vanilla server!
but yeah, completed the story this morning and holy shit- i won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't but-
any for anyone NEW to the game-
you COULD try it..? it requires
1. a beefy phone/just play on an emulator even at low settings
2. a lot of paitence if you play on your phone
3. like ~7GB on iPhone with the English voices-

but yeah that's all i got for this week's updates
currently trying to remote deploy OS X on my G4 using a Lion VM running on my Mojave hackintosh while it's bridged to my subnet-
so yay! fun!
anyway
peaceeeee
