OI am currently studying high school at IFRJ (Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro). I am an environmental control student, and I am currently in the first period of the course. I was able to notice in these first days, How public education is scrapped.
In Brazil, it is a source of pride to pass a Federal exam, because besides being very difficult, the vacancies are not for everyone, As much as I think the teachers are renowned, What gets me is the structure of the school. I study in the afternoon, but there are days when I work full-time, Specifically on my Campus there is no university restaurant, that is, if the student cannot bring food he goes hungry or survives on salty foods (Which, let's face it, isn't healthy at all, especially for someone who's going to spend the rest of the day studying).
From my school until there is a group to talk about this and protest, but I have been promising this since 2019, and even beyond the issue of not having a restaurant there is the issue of danger, The part where the campus is located is very dangerous, as in addition to having several robberies, there are shootings.
I just wanted to share a little rant about my high school!!
