human nature and taoism

according to taoism human beings deviate from our nature and thats why evil exists, evil understood as the imbalance of the natural world, but arent we animals like the rest? how can a living being, part of that same system that is the tao, deviate, or create its own path, arent our pavements and buildings just another natural product like the wasps hives? dont we destroy and wipe out entire ecosystems the same way cyanobacteria once did with the great oxygenation of the earth?

im thinking, isnt this a completely natural process? well, its true that this is killing ourselves, but then, how is a product of nature able to do that, to self destroy, what led us to it, and why no other living being ever did? is it our intellect? our ego? and why was there no other being with the same intellect or ego? and again, arent intellect and ego also natural products and therefore aligned with the tao? how do those concepts have the strength to go against everything that once existed on this earth and in the whole universe?

ive been reflecting on it,"are we part of nature or are we some anomaly inside it?" according to taoism the tao is just the natural flow of existence and every being that follows its own nature stays in harmony, animals hunt kill build nests and hives and that doesnt break the balance cause they dont try to control more than they need, but humans with our conscious intention and ego start to push the world instead of flowing with it and that creates imbalance, now in a way our buildings and plastics and systems are natural cause nothing exists outside nature, but the difference is that our creations actually threaten our own survival and that of the planet, like the cyanobacteria once poisoned their own world with oxygen but that ended up creating space for complex life.

maybe our crisis is also some kind of destructive creative transition or maybe its just our collective suicide, and the reason its only us is cause we have intellect, abstract thought, language, imagination of things that dont exist, and from that comes ego, the illusion of being separate, but even that is still part of the tao cause nothing is outside it, the paradox is that the tao also contains the possibility of losing balance, like yin yang, harmony always hides the seed of its opposite, so maybe human consciousness is the taos experiment with pushing its own limits, in the end we are not outside nature we are nature trying itself out in a conscious self destructive way, and that is terrifying but also maybe our intellect could be the same tool to bring us back into flow with the tao
