I honestly don't know where to start. I feel like nobody truly has empathy or kindness anymore. ESPECIALLY in schools. Standards are set SO HIGH for kids (especially girls), and everyone's afraid of looking different. It honestly doesn't feel that long ago where there was variety in styles, interests, personalities, etc. I see girls SO YOUNG dressing as if they're older, and boys (also extremely young) using slurs and saying harmful things to people who aren't supermodels, acting as if that's cool. It's obvious it all stems from social media, and your worth is based on your beauty. It's so exhausting! I'm told so often how "I'm so brave" for dressing how I WANT? It's so crazy because I'm only "brave" because people are so cruel. I'm constantly laughed at, mocked, and borderline HARASSED simply because of how I choose to present myself. And it all seems to be people with high popularity bullying kids who were so unfortunate of choosing to be themselves. I know the world isn't sunshine and rainbows, but it kind of used to be? idk maybe I'm crazy. thanks for listening to my short yap. I had to say something idk but I could go on for HOURS.
Why is everybody so mean in recent years?

Yeah no this is real asl. I definitely found my ppl I know wouldn’t care if I did whatever,but a lot of spaces kinda got infected by social media hive mind mentality so acting different is a little more out there nowadays. Esp the part about how young ppl grow up! All I see is ppl hating on teens for being cringy kids and then hating on teens for acting older than they are. It’s just a losing game if you let a young teen on the internet and it makes me sad to see that stuff manifesting in my little cousins :(
YES! I couldn't agree more. It's so crazy how we're literally bullied out of ourselves just to be ridiculed on how we don't "act our age" or are acting "too grown."

Genuinely it’s insane
I remember being so sad when stuff like Justice closed down cause omg that was the teen trend space for the girlies and when it went down the youth was messedddd T.T to this day I still feel like ppl grow up too fast like we have time yall it’s okay to explore and like take ur time omg

i completely agree. i dont go to an in person school but people need to mind their business when it comes to how people dress. like i often go on walks and FULL GROWN ADULTS fucking stare at me?? like sometimes their even yell stuff from their cars like maga or like the f slur just because i have dyed hair. people need to chill instead of giving me disapproving looks like i care what they think bro
