so i was getting a coffee on campus as usual (brown sugar oatmilk latte <3) and this stupid asshole in line in front of me didn't bring his ID with him. rookie mistake i guess. so he told the lady at the register, let's call her kay, that he was going to list his ID number off for her so he could buy his cup of watermelon. kay explained VERY NICELY that the policy of using your ID number instead of your actual ID was not a thing anymore because people were stealing ID numbers. this guy was FUMING for no good goddamn reason. he literally said, and i QUOTE, "oh my god, what the fuck is this shit," before kay noted that he could get his ID redone upstairs. however, instead of taking that VERY NICE nugget of advice, bro put his dumbass cup of watermelon back and stormed off, mumbling curses. like, for one, i didn't know your cup of watermelon meant that much to you, and two, BE NICE TO SERVICE WORKERS. i don't fucking care how bad YOUR day has been, the worker's day has probably been much worse due to little fucks like that guy. so, when i got up to the register, after ordering my coffee, she told me she just wanted to go home. i apologized on behalf of him. this shit happens every day, and it actually enrages me, as someone who works in the service industry. anyway :3
