Do you relate?

I had a friend that deffinetly had undiagnosed BPD and ADHD, they treated me so poorly constantly yelling at me for example when we were on a school trip she was on her period and she was angry and stressed th whole day yelling at me especially during the bus ride home. Few months later I mentioned it and she said yeah I was on my period I explained to her she can't treat someone like that because of her period and she laughed sayin yes I can. (shitty right?) I mean I dont treat people poorly when im on my period. she's mean to my other friend and was mad when we had to share a hotel room together saying she didn't want to be in the room with a weirdo.(she literally listens to Taylor swift and nothing is weird about that she's the sweetest human being) she wanted to lock her out of the room because she didn't like her and luckily she didn't. she constantly made fun of of me because of my "big" nose and small lips. she hit me so hard my whole arm was bruised and then called me sensitive but when she didn't turn out good in a picture she started bawling her eyes out like a child. there are so many more things but I have true trauma from her that every couple of weeks I get hit with these flash backs.

how do I recover from this type of friendship?

Honestly, best to avoid toxic relationship. [insert the negative affects of toxic relationship]
But fr tho, you did your best to communicate the problem to her and that is wonderful of you. We can't force people to change, some are imprisoned in the negative behavior for so long that it is almost unredeemable.
I hope you the best, stay optimistic and love yourself first
