will there be new music?

Tomorrow Saturday 27th will be one for the books. I'll be doing a double-header, two cover gigs back to back, with little time in between. 

I wanted gigs. I'm getting them!

First will be with the band Rubber Duckie Riot, short set at Hawthorne Day (Hawthorne, NJ) and then the bassist Bob and I have to jackass it an hour north to Airport Pub (Sussex, NJ) with the band Spare Parts. I won't lie to anyone: the money was too good to pass up. But more importantly, I am being more appreciated for my talents, even if it is cover music. And I'm being surrounded by positive-thinking people. Fancy that!

So will there be new music from me?

Yes but not right away. I have been chatting with a couple of drummers, laying down the foundation for things. Everyone who knows me will attest that things leading up to my last cd ACT NATURAL were not all sunshine and rainbows. Lots of disagreements, even though it was my vision. I even told myself two years ago that "You're being a people pleaser. STOP IT!" Took me a while to shake that rust off but now I'm good again.

I have 10 rough demos that are quite good, even in rough guitar-only form. While it might not seem practical for one person to do all the heavy lifting, it works perfectly fine for me. I was never good at collaborating, mainly because I'm a bit more creative than some. But as David Sylvain once said, "The problem with creativity is that most people don't like it."

That won't stop me though!
