Becoming a Musician

I am trying my damn hardest to become a rapper right now. I finally found my producer and I just need us to come together and get in the studio. I have one beat and I will most likely be working as a sub so I can cover expenses that will come up as we start this journey together. He's already proven he can produce, I myself don't really have my name out there besides just being someone who flaps their gums constantly on the Twitter. However, I am saying it'll be the start of me and him locking in together.

Being a rapper wasn't in my plans, this shocks me, in all honesty. My five year old self thought I would be come a popstar. I thought this up until this year actually. I discovered the underground rap scene and I was drawn to it immediately. The types of people were so fun, so loose compared to the eye that judges popstars. My lifestyle is a little too rowdy for some of the mainstream criticism of the popstar route. I switched to rap.

I have no issue at all with rapping, I used to compete in rap battles in middle school, however I stopped. I used to only listen to metal and Lana Del Rey who is still my queen. I was extremely emo and would never ever listen to rap. I did loosen up when I started getting into kpop. I wanted to be a global kpop star, but the companies literally owning every little thing about me scared me off from this. I am excited to move forward with my life and I guess I'll update this silly little blog since no one knows about it :3

My dreams will come true, I can feel it ♡

No need to restrict yourself to a gerne. Music is the artist's soul, and your soul are definitely a wide spectrum that has no boundaries.
Speaking from experience, as someone who have friends as musician, experiment and theoretical construct are your best friend.
alen vuong and Immortal Technique are two of my favorite rappers. Mf Doom ft Sade is my favorite mix. Title fight, Rehash, Superheaven and Sledge are my beloved shoegazeish band.
