Ranking my top 5 video games

This is my first post on here, so I figured I might as well talk about my special interests!  I love video games and have a soft spot for JRPGs (as you'll soon see), but I would love any recommendations any of you may have. I'll give a brief explanation of why I love these games and what they mean to me. This is also an open call for friends so if we have some in common send me a friend request!

1. [The compilation of] Final Fantasy VII

Okay, anyone who took a quick look at my blog could've figured this out. This is my favorite video game of all time and Cloud Strife is my favorite character ever. Cloud was so relatable to me on an unbelieveable level that he is the reason I figured out I was autistic and later got an official diagnosis. All of my fav comfort media comes from this series (advent children and remake my beloveds). Even outside of the vibes and aesthetic, I resonate deeply with the anti-militarism, anti-capitalist, and pro-environmentalist themes. Peak through and through

2. Kingdom Hearts [II]

So I adore all of the kingdom hearts games but 2?? GUH it's everything. I'm a firm believer that graphics peaked in the late PS2/ early PS3 era and I eat up this games visuals every single time. Sora is so emotional and raw in this game and Roxas fighting desperately for his identity and right to live??? devastating. My favorite character is Riku 100%. To me, he's petty ass autistic gay man that spends all of KH yearning for Sora. KH is a deeply queer narrative to me and Soriku mirrors me and my real life fiance. I love these games and they bring me joy and whimsy 

3. Devil May Cry 3 and 4

Everyone expects 3 but 4? Let me explain. I thought it was a fun looking game growing up but was too young to play. Finally after years I was able to play the 4th game and it set of fireworks in my brain. DMC's aesthetic is me and everything I think is beautiful. I love the combat and the unforgiving style system. Nero is moody and byronic (like Cloud) so of course I adore him and everytime hes on screen. I actually prefer him over Dante because idk I just love sad twinks y'know. I think he looks so so good in 4 and I live in a little fantasy world where he keeps his long hair for 5.

4. Little Big Planet 2

The odd one out. I love this silly little game for everything it gave me when I was a kid. Playing it and spending hours in creative mode making worlds or just designing the sickest outfit for my little sackboy to wear. It was actually what introduced me to alternative subcultures and fashion, there was a HUGE scene/emo community on LBP. Figuring out how to make the hair spikes or finding someone who shared their custom clothes was so much fun. It really was the first place I truly found community and fun at a young age.

5. NieR: Automata

I played this way back when the demo very first came out and needed to play it immediately. I preordered it and played it as soon as the full game came out and LOVED it. It was the first game that ever made me cry and really pioneered my love for philosophy and deep critical thought. The art of the game is stunning to me, I adore the lush greenery and the desolate amusement park. The world is so rich and varied, just thinking about it makes me wanna go look through the art book again. A2 is my favorite character but particularly with her longer hair (are you seeing a pattern yet?)
