MLP Horror Story Snippet

TW FOR MENTION OF PUKE

I'm writing my first ever fanfic on AO3, and it's an MLP horrorfic. I thought it'd be fun to share my newest paragraph from an unreleased chapter :) The story is centered on the Apple family after Big Mac gets an illness called "crimson blight" that makes him unresponsive to the world around him and unable to sleep. Applejack and Apple Bloom's relationship gets strained as Apple Bloom hides secrets from her.

“I’ve never been at this part of your family’s farm before…”, Twilight said. “What’s that cabin for?”

Applejack had wondered about that herself, but the eeriness of Sweet Apple Acres’ exterior design came second to the crimson blight and what was happening to her brother in that shack. Being so close to Big Mac overwhelmed Applejack to the point that she couldn’t muster up an answer.

“No offense Applejack. It is pretty clean… for a wood cabin.” 

Clean…? Fear clung to Applejack’s throat. She eyed the bottom of the chipped wooden door just to check, but her suspicions were right. Her vomit stain from last night was completely washed out; the spinach green hue replaced by soap suds. It was recent. Her thumping heart drowned out the noise of Twilight’s queries, and she scanned the area for anypony around.

Her vision blurred as she craned her neck towards the landscape. Fate led her gaze to a pair of two amber eyes, lurking and stalking in the corn field. 

Apple Bloom.

“Get back here!” Her voice tinged with desperation as it seemed that her own sister was happily fucking with her. Applejack dashed towards Apple Bloom, leaving her friend on her own.

Twilight called out to her. “Applejack, where are you going?”

Just as she went quiet, a guttural gurgling sound made its way from the cabin.
