What I personally did when I thought there was something in my house was smudge the whole place with sage(got a three pack off Amazon pretty cheap and it smells nice), and confidently announced that whatever it was, needed to leave. If you can’t get rid of it you shouldn’t give it any attention at the least, apparently that empowers it if you do
i tried praying and a prayer circle, did not work!! tried salt too, it also did not work, I've stopped giving them attention like you said and they got calmer, all i get now is door slamming!!
