Twin Peaks and the Haunting the narrative troupe. Spoiler warning, read carefully.
Spoiler warning: I will be talking about the Yellowjackets, Twin Peaks and Life is Strange (Hannibal nbc as honorable mention)
I’m watching Twin Peaks for the first time and i really love the “Character who died/went missing and haunts the narrative” troupe so much, its crazy.
I think that the first time i had contact with this kind of plot was back in 2016 in my 6th grade, i was watching some youtube and one of my fav back in the day released a video playing Life Is Strange. Now, if you know the history you also know that i'm talking about Rachel Amber, she was everywhere and somehow nowhere making me even more obcessed about the game for atleast 3 years. The mistery of a small town that something happened, always make my eyes shine.
After that i didnt consume much media that portraid this lore like that until Yellowjackets, watched the first season two days before the release of the second season and honestly i was surprised since netflix basically didnt made the synopsis that interesting. Ngl i kinda wished that they actually had a little of supernatural influences but i really liked the idea of them just going crazy in the wilderness, btw jackieshawna? Pure gold. Didn't fell for the anti Jackie propaganda tho. Also, honotable yellowjackets mention: Laura Lee
And rn that i'm watching Twin Peaks and cant avoid to think about them and others, in my most recent tumbl post i quote myself:
''Oh to be an actress and get a role in a movie/series where my character dies and haunts the narrative, never being able to run away from the grasp of memory from who i used to be.''
Honorable mention: My girl Abigail Hobbs from Hannibal NBC. Poor traumatized girl who was used by a cannibalistic gay psychiatrist to babutrap his autistic FBI profiler patient.
