[WEEK 0] treehouse of horror watchthrough!!

hello all!! in 2020, i decided to watch every treehouse of horror throughout the month of october! and since then, it has become a tradition for me to do every year! (if i can, admittedly school had/has me quite busy)

and this year i decided i would document my re-watch adventures through blog posts here on spacehey! i thought about doing a video, but as i said, school has me busy.. so blogging! sure it's a lot of writing, but it's not scripting and filming and video editing...

so i hope you're excited for that! here's the part where you can stop reading now, unless you want the dirty deets...

the dirty deets

the first year i did it, i could actually watch one episode a day for the month and then wait for that year's episode to come out - but i do not have such a luxury now... partially because there are more episodes now, and also because i'm a sicko and i've decided to include the extra halloween/treehouse of horror adjacent episodes (not it, simpsons wicked this way comes, halloween of horror, thanksgiving of horror)

so that's 35 episodes + 4 bonus(?) ones = 39 (+ plus the upcoming one, so soon to be 40)

there's 4 weeks in a month, but because october 2025 starts on a wednesday, on a calendar it looks like it's five... so.. what if i just pretended there were five weeks in the month.. for science..

so my strategy for this year is a bit convoluted BUT i was thinking:

1. for the first week, it's 2 episodes a day

2. after that, the standard is 1 episode a day

3. except there's one day a week where i watch 2 episodes (i wrote it as being saturday, but whenever i can fit it works fine)

4. there is an exception to this, as on week 4 and 5 there's two days where i watch 2 episodes

(as i wanted to group episodes from the same season together) ^^

as i wrote that i did actually adjust some things and gave myself a free day as well, partially to build suspense... but also because, again, i'll probably be quite busy, so a breather would be nice:)
