In the last decade we saw basically youtube, netflix and such platforms beinΔ a bit too "greedy" as bunch of ads, or raising their prices. Due to this piracy has actually sky rocketed even more than 2010s as people are just getting more tired of having to use 2 to 4 subscribe based platform just to have acces to popular movies. Big corparations increased the prices that many have cancelled their subcriptions as you might even be in like money trouble and it will just be too much. Also not to mention you cant even own the movies or the shows like once you stop paying all your library is just gone. Do you guys dont thenk netlfix and such companies are getting too "greedy"?

Isnt it too "greedy"?

I think some services are worth paying for (say, taking courses from educated and experienced folks in places like Skillshare), but I agree that streaming platforms are derailing completely. At this point, they're just competing with each other to see who has the bigger pants. The premium subscriptions are filled with very basic features. Now they have ads even when you pay the subscription. It is ridiculous.
Inflation goes up, affecting every single country and their markets, while salaries stay about the same? And you want me to pay 20β¬ minimum worth of subscriptions monthly? Absolutely not.
I miss video shops. 1β¬ or 2β¬ used to get me renting a film or a video game for a week. If you could afford it, you could actually buy them (that's how I got my Rayman and Crash Bandicoot games for PS1) for like 5β¬.
