like father, like son (Pt.1)

    Today was just like any other day. Except one thing that would change my life completely.

I was walking back from another day of college. I stepped into a cafe, planning to buy some stuff to eat back to my studio. "Excuse me sir," said someone behind me as I finished voicing out my order. I turn my head to look at them. They're wearing a full black business suit, complete with a dark sunglasses. Typical textbook type of bodyguard. Before I even complained about anything, they asked, 

     "Are you [redacted]?". ?. "Yes, that's me. And you are...?", "I'm sorry to interupt your fine afternoon sir, but may I ask for your time just a little bit? It's regarding... your birth father."

My birth father they say. I've lived for 23 years on this earth and not once have I met him. I never even know his name. My late mother had always been reluctant to talk about him. I never bothered to find out too. There was too much stuff happening in my life for me to care. Yet here I am, on a random tuesday afternoon, receieving information that my birth father is actually a CEO of one of the biggest company in town. And he wants to meet with me, to apologize for not seeing me this whole time. 

There's no reason not to. And it doesn't sound like a scam, either. That bodyguard-looking guy told me to visit the company headquarter on [redacted]. I'm starting to get bored with my life anyway. A big hunk of cash would probably keep me entertained for awhile-- at least it's what I think he's gonna give me.

They gave me the CEO's contact and left. I went home shortly, after I ate. I decided to look him up on the internet. As far as I can tell, he's a real succesful guy. Doesn't get into much scandal either. It makes me wonder how was I born, when he's already got a wife and a son just a few years older than me. He is divorced now, though. Is it because she found out he was having an affair? 

I'm sure he'll tell me everything once we meet. For now, I went to sleep and had a dream that I was on a cruise ship made of gold.
