Windows Legacy Media Player (the love of my life)

if they ever get rid of windows legacy media player (the old one) and only have windows media player, i may die. i think then i would turn to being a hard core 100% linux user. i literally just wanted to come here and gush about it.

i would say somewhere around early to mid summer i started buying/ripping/downloading music and after a bit i felt comfortable enough to cancel my spotify subscription. it has changed the way i listen to music completely. now i listen to albums, really get into a band/artist, i also feel like i find new music in more creative ways and find MORE of it and more stuff that i actually like because on spotify it's "recommendations" for playlists or new music is a complete joke and will just lead you in circles and i used to find that on spotify i had such a hard time finding new music. i love the UI in legacy sm and it makes me feel more excited to listen to my music. its less intuitive to make playlists and less over stimulating so i find that when i do make playlists they ACTUALLY mean something. when i was using spotify i would make playlists CONSTANTLY and a lot of them were the same or super under developed. but i find now that even my attention span for music has gone up because i will now listen though albums, even the songs that i am less of a fan of. and before i appreciated albums that were meant to be played in one sitting but now i crave them, i PREFER them, music is less a few minutes affair now, its a "im going to sit in this music for an hour" kind of a thing. now ofc i will still listen to a song if i really want to hear it im not insane lol, but i am more inclined to do albums, listen to them as the artist intended. also i am not subscribed to some forsaken streaming service!!!!!!! the really different thing about using it is not having your music "on the go" i use an mp3 player and then i use cds or sd cards/flash drives in my car. everything feels so much more tangible now. i would 100% recommend, ping me if you have any questions about easiest ways to obtain mp3s/flacs :3

this was kinda just a quick rant i wanted to do so its a bit disorderly but i hope i got my point across! might try and organize my thoughts a bit more in the future :D
