The Inheritance Games: Grayson or Jameson?

SPOILERS; don’t read if you haven’t read all of the main trilogy.

This love triangle kinda sucked, considering that both of the love interests were brothers. It was pretty obvious that it was going to be Jameson for Avery, and I do like Jameson. But gosh dang do I feel bad for Grayson. I didn’t really like him for most of the main trilogy because he was so freaking stingy about everything. I like him now, after he apologized to Avery about the stupid stuff he did.

 The plot of the first book was literally just Avery finding out about Emily Laughlin and how the boys were involved with her and her death. I think it’s such a stupid plot, especially because it took Grayson so long to get over Emily and both Grayson and Jameson felt guilty for her death.

 I was dying while reading The Final Gambit because when Grayson finally got over Emily, he really asked Avery, “I know Jameson loves you. Please don’t tell me you’re in love with my brother.” And Avery said, “I’m in love with your brother.” Just the fact that Grayson asked Avery that and the way she answered his question caught me off guard so bad.

I’m currently reading The Brothers Hawthorne so at least Grayson has his time to shine there. At first, I didn’t really want to read Graysons POV, but when the matter of his dad’s family came up, I decided, “hey, I’m actually interested and care about what happens to Grayson”. 

I know that Grayson finds a love interest somewhere in The Grandest Game, so I’m trying to finish The Brothers Hawthorne as fast as I can for his sake so he doesn’t have to be a lonely single pringle and spend the rest of his days questioning his love life. 

When I was first reading the series, I liked Jameson more. But now that I’m reading more into it, I like both Jameson and Grayson. I have two friends, one of them is pro Grayson and one of them is pro Jameson.

My pro Grayson friend does not like Jameson because she just didn’t like the impression he left when Avery first interacted with him. I mean… he was drunk, shirtless, and on top of a roof, he even jumped off it. 

My pro Jameson friends LOVES Jameson. But her type is bad boys that are mischievous, and that’s basically the definition of Jameson Hawthorne. So for her, she likes the impression he left when Avery first interacted with him. But this said friend is pretty crazy so I expect no less from her.

As I said, this love triangle lowkey sucks. The Naturals love triangle was definitely way better. Grayson and Jameson being brother played a big part in this. Avery’s feelings for Grayson was pretty random though, and it didn’t make as much sense since Grayson literally despised her(at first) and they didn’t talk as much as Avery talked to Jameson.

I yapped a lot here, I did not realize I had so much to say lol. 

Well, what is your opinion? Team Grayson, or Team Jameson?
