Thoughts on OG HellBlazer comics so far

So...many...COMIC ISSUES 😭 (up to about #300 issues)

I only made it half way through, from the first comic issue to at least #26/#27? Can't remember where I was the last I read, however I do have some thoughts to share about them still.

So far, the only rememberable stories were the ones that include Mercury and her Mom, the Family Man Arc, the Surreal Beach story that has a deep message about Nuclear waste (At least i think it was some message about it?), and "Hold Me."

Interestingly, you follow John Constantine for most of it ofc, however, I like how he starts doubt as this fancy blue suit detective to a downward spiral of having to be on the run and slowly being pathetic and having to sleep in a room of Chaz's workplace.

It's a fun downward spiral and the tone is a lot darker and deep compared to todays Constantine. The storytelling is a lot more adult and it is a good read, however....

300 issues of this comic, that's a lot to read through...
