Learning Languages

I am very dedicated to learning German. I started last year on my own in order to prepare myself for this year's course at uni, and I couldn't be happier with how it's going. The class is small, my professor is kind and very good at explaining the different rules.

...A certain "but" arised a couple of months ago that I never expected. I found myself desperately wanting to learn how to speak Italian! I stuck with my choice of German for now, but I did hesitate when I was picking my classes... (I never would have forgiven myself if I changed my mind last minute, though). What's more, my two friends are both taking Italian, so the want has only been getting more desperate whenever they talk about it.

It's lucky that they are the ones who are taking it though. They don't mind teaching me the main notions after they have class. So, I know how to count (zero, uno, due, tre, quattro, cinque, sei, sette, otto, nove, dieci!), say my name (mi chiamo Robyn) and ask how someone is (come stai? sta bene).

I thought to myself that I'd wait until I reach a level I'm satisfied with in German before starting any new language. It's hard to wait for things.
