so today isn't off to a great start, I got up at 6:30 to get to my 8 AM class in time... Only to find out it had been moved online. All my other classes already had been because of a support staff strike going on, but this one was in-person last week anyway so i assumed it would continue to be (even though having my only in-person class be 8 AM on a Monday sucked)
So now I'm alone in a classroom, in my online classs, wishing i stayed home and got to sleep in just a bit longer ToT
It's raining right now, which normally I like, but atm I'm a little worried that it'll still be raining when my class is over and I have to bus home
hopefully this day turns around a little bit later :[
I just remembered this CD I found when I was picking through stuff in the basement last year. It's a standard CD-R labelled with "Wintermute" in my dad's handwriting, looks pretty yellowed (from general age and/or being stored away for a while?), and has a clear case.
The music itself doesn't have any actual lyrics to my recollection, although there are words in there that I assume are sampled from elsewhere? My dad told me he downloaded it off a website at some point, he didn't remember anything beyond that. Although, given my dad and the title of the album, I assume it was some kind of Neuromancer-inspired thing.
Genre-wise it's... Some kind of ambient-ish electronic thing? I guess? Idk how better to explain it LOL
There's no track names or artist name in the metadata, so I don't even have that to narrow down who made it :[
There was a timestamp of 1994, but I'm not sure if that's just a default fallback kind of thing or not...
I assume it was just something made on a whim and shared years ago, maybe they never even made anything else, it's hard to say. I might try uploading the tracks online and see if anyone recognizes them, though.
