I genuinely need help with my plot for my novel
so my book is about the mc (Bowie Brooks) who falls in love with his best friend (Axel Ramos), or rather is was already in love with him. and yes this is yaoi
at the start of the story, Bowie's grandpa dies, in every version he has died. His grandpa one one of two people Bo felt comfortable actually talking to and just letting out all of his emotions to. So, after he died, that's where he begins to crack(?) and "falls into Axel's arms", and eventually confessing his feelings for him.
I'm just having trouble making more of a plot for the overall story and I dont even know if this sounds appealing to anyone.
pls give advice/ tips/ feedback

try having the story taking place during the process of Bo grandpa dying showing the readers how Bo finds out about his grandpa declining health. this also be a time where Bo has to struggle with this causing him to have more pent up emotions that he doesn't have anyone else to share with. i think having it taking place from Bo finding out his grandpa is dying growing closer to his love interest and near the end where the grandpa dies makes it more better and interesting.
