i've been off the site for a year now. i'm checking recent blogs, as i always do, and i'm seeing a lot of weird stuff? like, i'm seeing recaps of people's days, poetry, art, etc. but i'm also seeing what looks like random spam? uh, like, i saw top 10 locksmiths?? is this just ai slop or something? what is this, who is this targeted for?? and of course there are spam bots advertising dating sites and stuff. but, i've been gone for so long.. i do not recall any of this being usual things i'd come across? it's nothing to exactly worry about that i've seen, but it just makes me wonder; did the dead internet theory hit Spacehey so quick? the site has only been around since, what, 2019? 6, almost 7 years. no other social media that i've seen has suffered the dead internet theory so quickly. anyway, happy spacehey-ing.

its dumass bots, companies using the site to advetise, i dont get it bc spacehey doesnt seem to have much advetisement outreach IMO considering the audience and userbase,, lol its weird
okay, thank u for the clarification! that's what i assumed. i had seen bots and adverts in the past, but they were never this intrusive. i hope they can find a way to crack down on it somehow, its really getting in the way of my lurking kek
