Quick train-of-thought piece I need to get out, ok thanks.
Anyway, the matter at hand!
Opinions!
Everyone has an opinion... i have an opinion, you have an opinion, your mama has an opinion And of course, that's perfectly okay, it's part of free speech to hold an opinion and express it freely (wait, that's literally just free speech). Anyway, what I'm trying to say here is that whenever a major event happens - whatever it may be- we, as a society, feel morally obligated to voice our opinions on it even if said opinions are uninformed, half-baked or worse. Not that I reject people having opinions opposing mine, but I'm talking more opinions at the rightmost or leftmost ends of the aisle, the kinds of opinions that breed more harm than good. They are still opinions, yes, and the people who hold them have a right to hold them, but well, as always, there's a layer of nuance. Certain opinions can compound over time and turn into belief systems, ideologies... ideologies bring ideologues, ideologues preach to the public their rightmost or leftmost "extreme" ideas and earn public favor, and just like that, an innocent "opinion" protected by free speech becomes... uhhh... Nazi Germany. That is to say it's still in our nature to want to express ourselves through our opinions, but it's the current media landscape that seeks to exploit that better nature to polarize and divide- this is when it becomes an issue. Nowadays it seems Everyone's an influencer, a political pundit, a thinker or whatever else. People are more lenient than ever to not only express their opinions but to also win the argument, to have the last word, to utterly eviscerate their opponents-
-such is also human nature....
BUT! (IMPORTANT DISTINCTION ALERT)
This primed a toxic atmosphere where holding opinions is competitized (made into a competition. Yes, I just made that word up, sue me.) and polarization is rampant. no matter the issue everyone has to take a side; left, right, up, down, you have to be somewhere in the conversation or else you'll be othered, perhaps even jobless ... and this evokes the memory of a certain event that is as fresh as a gaping bullet wound in public stratosphere, so I won't really get into it as to not pervert my point since I'm talking generally, but you get my meaning!
i know what I'm saying here has been said ad nauseam in the past, or it might not make much sense, but it's just something that has been really bothering me, and, ironically enough, is only my opinion, so if you disagree, feel free to eat me alive in the comments for all I care, that's your right, I encourage it!
Conclusion
Stay informed, don't fall for mob mentality and most importantly, don't impose your opinions upon others. That said, thanks for reading my silly blog!

should be like this but if your opinion doesn't fit with that of others it always ends in problems. I mean, what happens is that you start having opinions when you enter adolescence and everything affects you, giving your opinion at that age is complicated, too radical for the elderly but too gentle for those your age. But I agree, we should have an opinion on everything, although giving it is another thing...
