We should draw more in MS Paint and Kid Pix

This is a silly post, but one I like pondering over, cause MS Paint is great and I feel people should give it more love than they usually do, beyond the crappy ahh drawn memes and silly comics. So, let's start, shall we?

So, why the heck should I try MS Paint?

Well, first things first, I like to believe that limitation inspires creation, and Paint does a great job at that - you can scribble, doodle, paint and stamp, and with the simplicity of only one layer, there's a lot that can be explored.

Also, since it's not a professional drawing program, you can draw as well or as poorly as you wish, and it may still be a fun, chill experience. As someone who grew used to the grind of posting and making high quality artworks in the past, it doesn't hurt to go back to simple, chill doodles when you can't really create something fully rendered. It's been great for my burnout recovery too!

And what about Kid Pix? What's so cool about it?

Now that's where things can get quite nutty- Kid Pix (more specific the deluxe versions) is like MS Paint on steroids, with a crap ton of different textures, brushes, together with a whole lot more. Even better is enjoying the goofy splat sounds whenever you scribble or slosh a brush across the screen, and the psychedelic noises when using the other tools!

It's got some of the vibes from MS Paint in it, and it is wonderful for more complex pieces as well (combining textures, brushes and applying effects), but if the insane amount of options overwhelms you, there's always the good ol' Paint to back you up.

Either way, I hope this inspires some of you folks to create fun things using MS Paint or Kid Pix, and what you can achieve with em <3 It's a simple post, but I've been meaning to talk more about it... and here I am!

Here's a drawing I did in MS Paint, for this post!
