SEPERATING THE ART FROM THE ARTIST

How do u guys feel about the whole 'separate the art from the artist thing'? me personally Idk how to go about it honestly, the whole D4VD thing is a huge example, like I love his music but he's a pedo and murderer so i feel horrible when i listen to his music. Kanye is the same for me too, like I'm a fan but I cant defend the stuff he says on the internet .. :ppp

You can easily pirate music and other art without giving money, which is definitely more ethical than paying for the art and giving money to an artist whose rude/evil Report Comment

people	1758499787 Honestly, don't think about it too much, MOST artists do bad things, many painters, philosophists and poets were sexists and even rapists. Many singers have done horrible things, the same with actors. For example, in my case the producer (or something like that) of my favorite anime is a pedophile and I really can't do anything to change that. Unfortunately, humans are not perfect, in fact most of us are miserable, so separating art from the artist is something totally unnecessary, because whether you like it or not, art will always be connected to the history, life and psyche of the artist. What you must learn is to accept that art as an extension of the artist's life. That you enjoy the content that this artist created does not mean that you support it, you are simply a spectator and you have to adapt to that role. Report Comment
