it's called "wrapping your style in a @media only screen and (min-width: whatever) function container thing." life saver for me who especially does not want to optimize my custom themes for mobile ever (even though nearly everyone uses their phone more for web traffic than any other device (we learned that in school y'know. riveting stuff.))
