Booktok

Trulli

I am big fan of books, I love reading. Sometimes it's hard for me to find some book to read so I usually look up on internet for inspiration. I somehow get into booktok and let me tell you it's disgusting. Every single book has spice in it. I am not kidding. I don't like books that have spice in it, it just puts me off from reading. But one time I gave it chance to one series Twisted love from Ana Huang and let me tell you something I HATE EVERY MINUTE OF IT. I know some people love this book bra, bla, bla. But I couldn't love it the characters were boring, the plot was boring and the reading sounds more like something from wattpad to me. I somehow finished this book after FOUR months. BTW this is my option on it so accept it.Β

Also I heard about dark romance, I don't read it but my friend do. I mean read whatever you want, if its make you happy I don't care. I just let you know that if I saw you reading Hunted Adeline in public I WILL jugged you.Β

(sorry for the grammar mistakes)

I really do think that booktok has changed the book scene so bad honestly. Romance and fantasy are all the same anywhere I look. All the romance has those cartoonish covers (which isn't always a bad thing), and I've seen so many lately with wordplay/pun titles (some are kinda fun). Fantasy seems to just be about enemies-to-lovers now and is always titled "A blank and blank." Everything has "spice" and I've heard that books being published now aren't even written that well. And everything has sprayed edges. Like, can we keep it for special editions?

I think that books are just a big trend now, and the books themselves always hop on the bandwagon of trends. I literally saw a book titled, "I'm Looking for a Man in Finance."
