minors dni makes no sense to me

Okay so ive been using this website since i was in late 7th grade / summer of transitioning from 7th to 8th and so much happened im so confused and im currently in junior year (11th grade), i remember when people wouldnt care about who interacted with them and everyone would just get along, i mean sure theres basic dnis which i completely understand but this new "minors dni, no age mentioned dni" thing is confusing to me, why do people not want minors to interact with them, i mean no force of course, but WHY?

i dont get it, like am i missing something, is there a reason behind it? what did minors do to make people who arent minors not want them to interact....... im genuinely so lost

can someone please tell me im very confused on the background lore about this.

ive seen so many long long almost independence of america lenghted dni pages and minors dni is a very new one that ive seen which to me PERSONALLY makes no sense
