today, I woke up with aches in my bones and tears in my eyes. the sounds of news and arguments across the home. my mind sank low, gloomy and exhausted from the weeks of illness deteriorating me. when I reached for my phone, those thoughts crossed my mind once more. yet, before I could fully dive into them, I saw a notification from you. you, across the sea, busy with award shows and celebrity life. Sat and sang, chatted, in comfortable silence. if it had been any minute later, any minute sooner, what could have happened? 

I guess holding on by any means necessary is the way to go. hope is all we have.
