[rant] why are creeproductions more expensive than first wave dolls

this small little rant was brought on by the fact that i was looking for a basic cleo doll on ebay. i was specifically looking for a creeproduction since, personally, if a doll has a creeproduction or will have a creeproduction (like rochelle, venus and robecca) then i hold on from buying the first wave dolls because they'll probably have tons of issues with them like the infamous glue sepage, discoloration, wobbly legs, so on and so on. creeproductions fix this so i can buy a doll and not worry about all these issues that might come with them! however, anytime i would try and look for a creeproduction of cleo- she would be MAD expensive!!

its actually way more affordable to get the FIRST wave dolls that are considered more 'rare' or 'vintage' which you would think, they'd be actually more expensive right? no! anytime i would find a creepo of cleo it would be the two pack of her and deuce and it would be in box, never breathed on, never seen by any eyes, sealed, no damage, mint condition and they would end up being $300+??? like HUUHHHHH???

look, im not picky when it comes to buying dolls. if its used and out of box i could genuinely care less, i never buy dolls that are in box because i dont keep boxes i take my dolls out and display them but for the life of me i cannot find a creepo cleo that isnt in box since they're all mad expensive and were bought for the sole purpose to be resold. i dont think that this is an issue for the other creepos but i might be wrong idfk but i just find it so baffling that its actually way more affordable to buy a first wave gold elastic cleo de nile than a creeproduction? is it because she comes in a two pack with deuce? does them being in a box and never opened really make them worth more than $300 (no btw, the answer is NO!!)

its whateves thoughhhhh.... we just gotta deal with scalpers being scalpers and just dont give into their overpriced shit and maybe they'll stop someday
