"I want a nerdy BF!" = "I want a goth GF!"

i genuinely think they're equivalent, at least when they're being said by a girl or guy who's just there to goon

like, for nerdy boys, people from what I've seen don't give a fuck about the actual interests, people just like the idea of a nervous and shy guy. and when people are called out for just picking out attractive examples they don't go on to elaborate about how they care about the interests they just say "hey no no I like the not attractive ones too!!!!!"

for goth GF, it's a similar thing; people who want a goth gf just for the sake of it don't really care about the goth subculture, they just want someone who's hot. literally show them any slightly alt woman and they go "HOLY SHIT!! GOTH MOMMY!! HUMINA HUMINA!!!" when they might not even fit under gothic subculture 

am I cooking with this one or am I bonkers
