if you need more clarification on where i stand on issues pertaining to the content of this account, here you go:
○ FIRST OF ALL 🔞 IF YOU ARE NOT AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD, I WILL NOT FRIEND YOU. -18 will be blocked if you can't respect this boundary.
○ fiction =/= reality, but fiction does affect reality. exploring dark themes is not problematic in itself. it becomes problematic when you romanticize and fetishize abuse. as a survivor of incestuous sexual abuse, for example, it makes me physically ill to see people trivialize the trauma i went through and potentially indoctrinate other traumatized/impressionable (young) people to thinking that type of abuse is normal and sexy. it isn't. it fucks you up for life in complex ways.
● therefore: IF YOU ROMANTICIZE AND/OR FETISHIZE ABUSE YOU WILL BE BLOCKED / REPORTED IF IT'S CALLED FOR. keep it to yourself, a therapist, and a consenting partner who is willing to talk about/act out scenes with you in a safe, controlled environment. key: safe, sane, consensual.
○ not all paraphilias are harmful, and paraphilias differ from paraphilic disorders. thought crime is not real. intrusive thoughts are not thoughts that anybody wants to act on. many survivors of sexual abuse develop paraphilic disorders as a direct result of the trauma. certain disorders (like OCD) can lead to obsessive paraphilic thoughts. talking about it is not glorifying it. talking about it is not romanticizing or fetishizing it. talking about the reality of the effects of trauma and mental illness is not defending paraphilic crimes. if you can't see the nuance, leave and come back when you've grown.
○ lastly: don't like? don't look. my blogs will have trigger warnings for any major triggers, so it's up to you and only you to click away if you're sensitive to anything. there's nothing wrong with being sensitive, but you're responsible for your own mental wellbeing on the internet. also, weird/rude/hateful comments will be deleted / reported. if you're looking for a rise you're not getting it out of me. spread love not harm.
