What does it mean to be human? Do people have an answer to that question beyond the scientific perspective? The moon glows every night despite every problem. If my hands were clean, I would have said humans are kind. So many people in this world, still I'm left riddled.
They say not to judge a book by its cover, so we try not to. But what if the cover is rotten? What if the pages of that book are blank? What if I decide to burn that book because it feels useless to possess a rotting cover with blank pages? Humans have so many different perspectives; is any one of them the correct one? One might say, "I fear death," while another admires the beauty of death. At the end of the day, what we are left with is just a series of "what-ifs."
I wished to grow up to be kind. Yet, in today's world, kindness can often feel like a curse, can't it? You are kind, aren't you? So, after all this contemplation, I would say the answer to the question of what defines humans is—
The End.
