My dad once told me “You just have to act like you belong.” As we walked on the field of GSU where we CLEARLY were not supposed to be.
That’s the confidence and attitude that “Legal Guardian” Marla Grayson has to con a multitude of elderly, scamming them out of their own fortunes.
It’s really the perfect set-up, a sleeeeezy doctor finds wealthy elderly people, writes up a note for a judge recommending they be placed under guardianship care, Marla shows up, has them driven to the senior care center she’s in cahoots with and robs them blind. Everything from furniture to money – these folks are left with NOTHING when she’s through.
Courtesy of NetflixMy take on the movie was that it was really good until it was not. The plot itself had some SERIOUS holes.
Yes she was a hardcore business woman but nothing suggested that she would be able to kick her way out of a submerged car after being beaten and drugged. Ain’t no way she made it out that car alive. Yes I understand adrenaline and quick thinking but no. She would have been too damn panicked and disoriented to actually understand what was happening to have enough air to kick out the window AND swim to the top.
Also what TRAINED KILLERS do you know are sloppy enough to not make sure their targets were dead 🤷🏾♀️ There is no way these killers did not see both murders through.
Nothing suggested she was a spy and capable of plotting such a revenge.
Then they becomeeee partners?? I guess in a perfect world that’s how I would want this to end.
Courtesy of NetflixBut to be shot and killed by someone WHO ACTUALLY CARED!!!
My takeaways
- A scammers gonna scam, but when greed takes over awful things are bound to happen
- Know when to hold em, know when to fold them, know when to walk away!
