I’m so confused I told this guy I like him first and he actually said he likes me back. He even planned to walk me home because I would’ve been alone. While we were walking if I didn’t talk we would’ve been walking in complete silence, so I ended up talking way too much just to avoid that, but then after we got home he texted me saying he was thankful for the chance to walk with me and that honestly melted me. He had also told me before that he liked me for my personality and thinks I’m cute. But he barely texts me first. When we do text he acts like he likes me but most of the time I’m the one starting everything and sometimes I even have to double text because he leaves my messages on react. It makes me feel like maybe he doesn’t really want to talk to me. I hate nonchalant energy. I want people around me to be really comfortable and jolly and expressive not leave me overthinking all the time. So what’s happening? Is he really into me but just bad at texting or is he not as serious as I thought?

Bit of a late reply.
How well do you know this boy? Because there are definitely some who rarely talk first but still feel the same.
My boyfriend isn't really a phone talker, even before we dated, so I wasn't surprised or annoyed that about 70% of our texts are me sending him something. He does occasionally send me stuff too though, usually videos or links.
It can take a bit for him to warm up and actually get into the habit.
If it bothers you over an extended period of time still, best is to talk to him about it. Communication is key in relationships.
I only just today asked my bf if he had a problem with something, which he did (it's minor don't worry) and we've decided to not do that thing for now.
