A bit more of a personal post buut do any of you have any tips on how to manage/deal w insomnia? got diagnosed it a few months ago and it just keeps getting worse
I'm not talking about the usual "go to bed early" (i do that) or "don't use ur phone before going to bed" (do that too), and neither melatonin, lavender nor valerian helps (and my meds are failing me ((hehe see what i did there))). yoga, meditation and mindfulness don't work on me, and i do not use drugs in a recreative manner so i do need help XP
EDIT 19/09: I went to the pharmacy so I could ask the pharmacist for anything stronger. I said that nothing works and that i am taking Prescription Medication(tm) and she basically said that my body got used 2 it and that if i needed to get my dose up ;-;
That wouldnt be a problem! I coukd talk to my doctor and talk her about this buuut i am having trouble with the healthcare system siigh
On another note i forgot my meds in my college dorm and i am home for the weekend. orz

i also have insomnia and tbh i just drink sleeping pills around 7ish pm maybe? and by 10 id feel a bit drowsy i wouldnt say i feel sleepy but i often do end up sleeping around 1 or 2 cz of the medication you could try it and no doing things that make u tired during the day do not help cz then you'll jst betired and sleepless hope this helps :)
yeah i take my meds at 8pm-ish and i start getting really drowsy half an hour later, but i don't manage to fall asleep, i feel just like ive been ran over :(

This worked for me, but I don't know if it will work for you. Just experiment with this, and don't trust me on this, but put on something boring before you sleep. Five minute crafts for example. If this doesn't work let me know and I'll chop off my finger as a way to repay you for wasting your time, boss.
HAHA ill keep it in mind!! i do watch cleaning videos (mostly crime-scene cleaning) or boring asmr, but i never tried 5 minute crafts since i find it a bit too colorful? and loud to fall asleep to

i keep my bedroom completely pitch black and i just like make sure to do stuff throughout the day that'll tire me?
yeah i do that too! i come home exhausted and sleepy from uni maybe and the public transport and i do put my room with no stimulation whatsoever. i might be a bit afraid of the dark so its not 100% pitch black, maybe a 95%
