Me when oc lore (im going to explode)

I've had the same 3 ocs since fucking 2020. They are five years old and their story is not finisheddd ughh askjfl. They've changed and been redesigned over and over again. Only know am i holding out on the story and dear god is it an ambitious project. (i say like i didn't willingly do this to my self)

But 5 fucking years.  Its insane that its been that log. And i do want to keep going with their story and just try to put pen to paper about everything. I'm just worried about not doing them justice. About plot holes or fucking up my own characters arcs. 

Especially since its a bigger world than just, Earth or a single planet this story takes place on. 
Because its a sci story. And theres aliens. Alien gods. Cyborgs. Ships. Robots. Multiple planets and intricate societies that live on each one. 

"Just downsize" no, estranged friend thar once told me this, i don't want to downsize. I want this. I Want to go all out for this. for this story and characters. For myself. because i want to put something out there. Because it is worth all the trouble despite my complaints

I think its the slight intimidation that gets me. Because i have thrown myself into building this world. But it came at the cost of managing and remaining active and attentive to the people around me. I tunnel vision so fucking bad. Sooooo i have decided to set a limit (?????) on what i wanna fine tune for now

The Pilot. 

I have everything i would want in a beginning episode or first entry comic (not sure which medium it'll end up being) But before all that, I need it written down. i need to write an official script. I need to drawt he scenes that take place. the 'Start' of everything

 Because i've memorized every little thing about these characters and their history, their fucking parents history.... theses losers have taken up wayyyy to much of my brain space and i need them out and into to the world. 

And the most insane thing about this pilot is how everything clicked. I was redesigning and reseting the characters back in 2022. I then at some point listened to Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash and it sparked a spiral that has made the entire pilot. 

So if you're interested in what this project might be, I'll update at least once a week with either excerpts, old sketches or just logged brainstorming before releasing anything official on my main art accounts. [Though i do have sketches and ref sheets up on my tumblr if yall wanna see anything]

Main trio consists of: 

- Human Cyborg Weapon Experiment [basic i know but to be fair he was once a tv head]

- Runaway Alien Princess  

- Alien Demi-god hybrid 

They are all bounty hunters and are actively on the run through out the story. I think it'd work as a sci-fi drama?? sci-fi something. theres definitely going to be plenty of character focussed pieces within the overarching story. 

I believe a good story is something that makes you attached to the characters and the plot. Just wanting the ''main plot'' without focus on character relationships just makes it feel like.. idk watching a fight without knowing anything about the boxers. Like yeah the fight is cool and its entertaining. And sure you might have an idea of their background or why they fight. But you need the information to understand them. To understand all the stakes, all the effort, time, and sheer passion it takes to be there, in the ring, in the room, in the audience. 

Thats what i want my story to be, captivating. And i can only hope i nail that feeling in the end
