If your parents don't want you to dye it because of damage or they just don't want it to look like that for a long time, you can get washable hair dye. I'm just not sure if it's as pigmented tho

I talked to my mum about bleaching and dying my whole head red. She was unsure at first and told me to wait a month to see if I still wanted it. After a month of course I still wanted my red hair so I asked her and she said yes. I got my older sister to dye it because my mum diddn't want to bleach it for me.

I talked to my mom about it for years, and was finally able to compromise with her on a peek-a-boo dye job one day. I suppose she didn't want me to dye my whole head or something; maybe she just got tired of listening to me and said yes.
Not saying you should talk their heads off about dyeing your hair, but try to find something that they'd be ok with. Like the ends of your hair in some way.
You can also talk about how hair can grow out and be cut all the time, or how you could always dye your hair back to a darker color. Dyeing your hair is a fun and expressive thing to do; sometimes it's best to do that while you're younger, since some jobs do not accept colored hair.

I did mine behind their backs... BUTT BUT once I showed them i just talked to them about self expression and after a bit they let it go, may have had a little argument.... BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!
