wolf as a pet

I really love cats and they will always be my number one friend and pet choice, however wolves would come in second. I just wish we could have them as pets without being eaten by one once it grows up, ive heard and seen so many stories of people dying in their sleep cause their exotic pets just decided to eat or kill them for fun.
