group project nightmare

so we have a big group project where we have to research a given topic and explain it in 20 mins in front of 50 students. me + another guy and 4 girls are in one group, so far we have not even agreed on a topic. its been five days and the deadline is mid of october just before halloween. me and the guy kinda stepped back cause im fine w whatever topic and he doesnt even care, but those 4 girls are fighting eachother in the gc. 

2 of them want a topic about climate change solutions, the other 2 want to talk about AI in education and jobs. So me and this poor guy are just stuck here on this drowning ship while these 4 girls fight to the death. Im fine with either topic as its pretty simple and straightforward, but I cant seem to calm the situation down so I think im going to just pick a topic and do it with the guy as a backup scenario. so we dont fail because its worth 40% of our ENTIRE GRADE...
