NTT DoCoMo/Fujitsu Arrows F-03L Keitai

For the past month and a half I've been daily driving this absolute nugget. Wanna know how it is?
Let's get into it!

> The Basics

Very cool nugget

This little thing was made by Fujitsu for NTT DoCoMo in 2019. Basically all keitais have the same specs (Qualcomm Snapdragon 200-series processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, SD card slot, micro USB, removable Li-Ion battery, mild water-proofing and a 8GB camera), so we want lose too much time on them.

Let's get directly to the interesting bits, shall we?

> The Good

Go watch Over Rev! and Super Cub now

> Design

Imo it looks bloody cool, with that dual colour lid

> Tactile feel

The keys feel absolutely awesome. The build quality is good for such a "low end" device

> Coolness

Even tho everyone makes fun of me because of it, I don't care because it feels so cool

> Camera

It's much better than what you might think (if you can get it to focus, that is)

> The Bad

> Closed system

I usually like to argue with my tech, so most of the times I won't really complain if my devices are a bit fussy. That said, it took me 3 hours to configure the APN for my carrier (TIM). For whatever reason, DoCoMo decided to limit the settings you can access, making it needlessly hard to change some things

> No headphone jack

This is a common issue with all keitais, since none have 3.5mm headphone jacks. That said, USB-C-equipped Kyoceras can output audio through the port with an adapter, meanwhile this poor fellow can't (or, at least, I haven't found any adapters that work)

> Focusing

Making the camera focus is almost as hard as finding someone who will actually love me, especially in low light. When it works, it works well. When it doesn't it really doesn't

> Why?

You may ask why a sane person would leave behind a Motorola Razr 40 Ultra for a flip-phone from the other side of the world, and the answers are many

First of all, I am anything but sane

2) The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is among the worst devices I've ever had the displeasure to use

C) I think keitais are wicked sick cool

IV) Looking around the state of the world, I've started to violently despise the state of the surveillance capitalism-based economy. I wanted to revert back to a 2009 Sony-Ericsson  W980 (man, that phone is the single coolest phone I've ever used. IT HAS AN FM TRANSMITTER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD), but my friends pressured me into getting something that could still run WhatsApp (because, for some reason, people think that that is the only usable IM platform), at least until they either start running ads in the chats or the EU law for chat control passes

> How?

y2kphones.com

It was about the same price as getting one from eBay, but they also gave me a charger and cable

> Would I recommend it?

Not really. A Kyocera with USB-C is a much better option. I'm not gonna upgrade because I could barely afford the 110€ to get this one

> Random assortment of images

Let's all love Lain
